                        “Tricskon Two-Ow-16”, a man who you may encounter five years from now, year 2016. He is the person who is already in the process of application of what he has learned from approximately seventeen years of countless nights burning the midnight oil.

                        He is then already giving back to his parents who have worked hard to support his growth and to finance his education, doing his own way of saying “salamat” through offering his service to the public.

                        His voice can be heard then on famous radio stations greeting us “good mornings” and making our day complete through letting us hear his countdown of daily top 10 most requested songs, or even help us to put periods on the question marks circulating in our minds regarding love life, friendship, or family problem through his timely words of wisdom.

                        He may also appear on some films portraying a role of a boy-next-door character or a simple man seeking for nation’s change, or even a charming gentleman who will make every ladies fall in love. Or if not, he may work as a producer or a director/scriptwriter of indie films focusing on heavy subjects such as homosexuality, corruption, lesbianism, cultural differences, and spiritual crisis.

                      “Tricskon Two-Ow-16” is already then being recognized as one of the nation’s advertising geniuses. His head will be the mastermind behind every successful advertisement, providing satisfaction on every client through his trusted advertising techniques. And he is leading every business into success.

                      Or he will already be the one updating us regarding the latest significant happenings around us and replacing Mike Enriquez or Noli de Castro in spreading news to the public. Yes, he may then be one of the credible media practitioners who will take any risk just to serve the truth and cease the concealment of reality.

                     His name will appear on the by line of every informative news and feature articles or even short stories which may stimulate or thoughts, perceptions, and even feelings.

                   Sounds so ambitious? Hmmmp. Five years, yes he has just five years from now, not that so long to make changes but not that so short to fulfill his own set dreams in life. There’s really no assurance if what will be seen on the next page of Trickson’s book of life. Who knows? He may still be then a man wearing school uniform to materialize one of his dreams, to continue schooling for him to be able to deepen and widen his knowledge.

                 Who knows what going to happen next? He? She? They? Only God knows. Just God? Maybe? But not at all. Trickson is a plus in the answer, he knows, because he has to, he has to know what he is going to look like in the future for him to be able to lead himself to the journey through his goals…

                     I’m pretty much sure that you have a Facebook account, whether for the purpose of information or simply just for socialization. In this activity that I would like you to try, don’t worry, I won’t ask you to post nude photos of yours or bombard your friends with malicious comments. But one thing I could assure to you that this would truly be fun. Simple but would leave an impact in one’s life. Yes, you have read it right, simple but will mark an in impact in your life.

Well, simply because you may not believe me then because you know that I’m not that so educated about such activities. But on my “unique” proposed activity, you can’t’ question my credibility, I don’t even have to plagiarize on the Internet, but I may just use my own knowledge which I have acquired on my own experiences.

                      Basically, this activity has three major contributions on a user.

                      First is that, IT COULD PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE. Having read your previous messages and realizing how funny the topics which have been center of your talks before. The message which features the conversation about you crush which made you “kilig”, the adjectives which you have used to modify your enemies (or even demanding teachers who hate you most, LOL), and even how you bully your friends or what we call “kulitan moments with barkadas”.

                     Next is that IT COULD HELP YOU UNDERGO THE PROCESS OF REMINISCING. In this point, the deep phase of activity will be encountered. You may feel sadness but not that kind of sadness which you may experience when you are upset. But  in terms of, you miss the people you have talked before, the topics which have been communicated and the context of the messages which made you feel touched. How you wish to have a re-chat then to the same person with the same topic.

                     Lastly, IT COULD HELP YOU TO ABRIDGE THE GAPS AND RECONNECT WITH YOUR FRIENDS. Making you re-unite with someone with whom you have been so close before.

My Training Ground Towards the Real World.

               I can still remember the time when I have heightened the pitch of my voice while arguing with my parents and insisting my point why I want to take the program which I think would not just lead me towards progressive tomorrows but also would bear gladness in my individuality, AB Communication Arts.

                It seems that it was just yesterday since I have done such very tough, strong and insisting decision. Pages of the calendar are being changed so fast, and within just blink of my eyes, I’m already facing another milestone in my life with the pressure which I’m carrying on my back to prove that I’m really on the right path.

               I’m so glad that my goal is already just a step ahead of me; all I need to do is to dream higher, aim larger, and work harder (not that so hard right?).

              Upon entering the so-called Angeles University Foundation, behind its concrete walls is an institution which has enhanced my capabilities, developed my talents, and molded my character to be a strong and better person.

               Many drastic changes have entered my life, new friends to be with, new professors to deal with, new groups to involve from, and a whole new society where I could be one of.

                There are sweet memories to be cherished, aside from “laftrip” with friends and “kilig moments” with crushes, I’m so glad to be a member of the award-winning dance group, the CAS Beat Breakers which enables me to showcase my dancing skills, to be consistent dean’s Lister and be one of the Top 10 AUF-CAS Junior Students, and being able to show my acting prowess and labeled as a Best Actor.

                But if there are sweet memories, there are also bitter ones (I mean sad). I’m referring to the failures (not to mention my broken-heartedness), failures which I may view then as blessings in disguise. I’m really thankful for such failures for they give me more reasons to persevere and exert more effort to improve my personality and abilities.

               College life is full of challenges; an ocean of paper works, a river of researches, a mountain of exams, a trench of activities, and to sum up, a titanic bed of to-do-lists.

                There’s really no reason for me just to be “happy and (just) go lucky”. I’m already preparing myself to face the tomorrows with a stamp of “global competitiveness” and a man who has been developed for God and humanity…
